My boss has decided to make me a web site designer/ content creator instead of a clothing designer. Though never having created anything like this before, I gave it a shot. The site (in beta) turned out surprisingly well.
Now he has told me to conceptualize and create a new logo. With zero graphic design skills (all I know about photoshop and illustrator is that they’re design programs….right?)
So, I have a week and a half to design, create and re-brand the store image and online presence.
Easy peasy lemon squeasy.
Actually, it’s more like all the terror and deadlines.
Wish me luck, and bring all the scotch you’ve got. I’m gonna need it.
“It’s a marvelous thing, the ocean. For some reason when two people sit together looking out at it, they stop caring whether they talk or stay silent. You never get tired of watching it. And no matter how rough the waves get, you’re never bothered by the noise the water makes by the commotion of the surface - it never seems too loud, or too wild.”—Banana Yoshimoto, Goodbye Tsugumi (via thatkindofwoman)
“The years between eighteen and twenty-eight are the hardest, psychologically. It’s then you realize this is make or break, you no longer have the excuse of youth, and it is time to become an adult – but you are not ready.”—(via phaibooty)
